Properties of woven fabrics are influenced by many factors: the nature of raw materials, woven fabric geometry and density, technological parameters of the weaving operation and finishing. In this paper, a theoretical model is developed to evaluate the mechanical properties of in-plane biaxial specimens. Being applied to the finite element analysis, the theoretical model is employed to evaluate the influence of strengthening material behavior (E*) and geometry parameters on the mechanical behavior in the : Zhipeng Qu, Houdi Xiao, Mingyun Lv, Xihe Wang, Pengfei Wang, Lei Xu. The influence of the amount and type of perturbation of a fabric is also studied in this work. It is shown that perturbation of the fabric geometry affect the global permeability but not as much. Analysis of woven fabric strengths eventually to the fabric. Each level has its own geometrical and mechanical variables which control or influence to varying degrees the fabric behavior.
